If only for spiritual purposes the impulse to submission and abnegation of the personal self is added to that of serving humanity or the world, this does not come from the small ego, nor from the collective sense of the species, but from something more occult and profound that surpasses both, as it is based on the absolute certainty that the Divine is everywhere and in everything, and the Work that is done is not done for love of the ego or the species, but exquisitely for Love of the Divine and His works, concerning the species, the collective, the group, or the individual man.
The greatest Service then is to serve this inexhaustible transcendent Source, this Being, this wider and vaster Consxiousness.
