Dear friends,
with today’s Hermetic Thought we share an in-depth analysis of Three possible ways in which the Human Being can live his earthly incarnation as a horizon of experience. Given the exquisitely mystical and esoteric nature of the topic, this contemplation will be proposed and published in 5 parts. This joint journey leads us to the gates of the Spring-True with the hope that it will blossom renewed within each of us.
Have a Good Inspiration
The belief that we are plural forms of God who have voluntarily descended into this prison world, that we have voluntarily lost our memory, identity, and supernatural powers (faculties), and that all of this can be regained through anamnesis (or through mystical conjunction), is one of the most radical spiritual views known to the West. Gnosticism is virtually an interior path of sign value in reverse: that is, it assumes that apparent reality is a simulation, a fraud that hides the true story that is one hundred and eighty degrees opposite.
Hence the need for the revelation of Gnosis. Everything must be read backwards. The Game requires that we find ourselves in a mega prison without bars, “secretly” in slavery. There is a deliberate occlusion practiced on us by “hostile” jailers.
The truth is not only hidden: it is deliberately hidden to keep us in ignorance. If we were to know the truth everything would be overturned, everything we see, everything we hear, everything we believe in would collapse. There is therefore in Gnosticism an intrinsic revolutionary and subversive basis that fights the dark powers that govern this world. To reveal is to overturn, to overturn is to reveal: they are the same identical thing.
The human condition of the fallen is as if constituted by four basic deformations:
- The unreal world that we accept as real. This cuts us off from the truly Real world.
- The perceptual occlusion, the perceptual fences that prevent us from accurately examining Reality, so that we ourselves defend, accept and reinforce the belief in the unreal world.
- The pervasive deterministic slavery, which reduces man to the level of automatic machinery without true will. Of this the worldly man immersed in vertical sleep is completely unaware.
- The amnesia, which cuts us off from our true universal memory systems, and which consequently deprives us of the possibility of remembering our authentic identities.
Three main relationships are possible in the relationships between man and the world.
- Man confused and lost in the world
- Man rejected and alienated from the world
- Man in the world but not of the world
These relationships, if understood as golden rules, in the sense of being subject to a precise Law, can be seen as three possible states of experience with which the Being reveals itself by experiencing itself.
The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.
