The term “Awakening” is often interpreted as the end of the division of Being and the simultaneous discovery of a perspective and a way of life that is total, complete and free from duality.

Those who have glimpsed this perspective say that the ultimate realization is such that there is no difference between the world and the Absolute, between Heaven and Earth, between Samsara and Nirvana, between the manifest and the unmanifest. But others say that the world does not exist at all, that it is in fact an illusion, or rather, that the world they believed in before was completely devoid of sense, meaning or reality. But then, in our experience, is the world real? Is it unreal? Or both at once?

I like to go to cities where people seem to be totally absorbed. Sometimes I feel like I’m in a big circus: in the street, people are compulsively moving in all directions, almost running. Everyone seems to be in a state of nervous tension, frenzy, anxiety. This is suffering, real, but it is not recognized as such. So I asked myself: But where was I running? And where do they run like this?

And, as a matter of fact, influenced by the past, they all run toward the future. They need to go somewhere that is not here. It is a race through time: not now, soon, later, tomorrow. They run toward a “later.” Above all, they run toward a “no day” – a tomorrow that does not exist – but they do not even know it. And yet, even just watching this show causes wonder.

I no longer say to myself: “they must know.” They follow their world, their instinct, their belief, their own spiritual path. For now, a race against time is the spiritual path for humanity, and it is going wonderfully well.

When I am interested in events, in people, or I walk down the street, doing ordinary things, I feel the world as a kaleidoscope of waves that ripple on the surface of my Being here. Yet, even the excrescences of the world are real, and all that is real cannot but be the same immortal Being.

In every form, subject to birth and death, is the immortal. The essence of every form is immortality. Even the essence of a blade of grass is immortality. Even my and your Essence is immortality.

The field of the sacred is therefore not exclusively the manifest Being (in the world) or the non-manifest (but not of the world).

The world of forms is a temporary manifestation of Being. For this reason the world in every direct manifestation is damned sacred.

Everything is Consxiousness, and this Consxiousness – Tò òn – is all that is.

“Men go mad because they do not know that the conflict is within them, and each one blames the other. If half of humanity is wrong, then every human being is half wrong. But he does not see the conflict present in his own soul, which is however the source of external misfortune. “

C.G.Jung
