When I was little, I wanted to grow up
to feel important,
and mother used to say to me: “Give time to time”,
you will see it will pass in a moment.
But it was slow, it went slowly
and I hoped in vain.
As a teenager the desire to grow up was imminent
and my grandmother used to tell me very quietly:
“Give time to time”, and you will go far.
I was tired of waiting for
time didn’t want to arrive.
It was always in delay according to my needs
as if it was driving my dreams away.
Then I got married, had children,
I didn’t need any advice
I was experiencing real life
from morning to night.
Now the children are grown up and I find myself on the other side
saying: “Go slowly, don’t be in a hurry, you may wait”.
But: “Give the right value to the present time”,
because it’s the only thing that’s important.
The rest doesn’t exist, yesterday has passed away
and tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
Now “Give time to time” is present
because I live every moment
I give the right value to what my heart feels.
Nothing is out of time anymore
nothing is out of tune
and finally, my time has come.
